On the 5th of April 2025 special guest DJANGO will be our musical guide.  Django creates eclectic yet deeply rhythmic and exquisite dance journeys that seamlessly glide from one genre to the next, offering a varied palette for the earbuds. Through skillful selection Django guides you in a deep and transformative experience with sounds of all different corners of the world, leading you back to the center at the heart.

The word “ecstatic” comes from the Greek “ek” (out) and “sta” (to stand), meaning “to stand outside of oneself.” Ecstatic Dance encourages us to step out of our minds and into our bodies, which offers numerous benefits for our physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Most English dictionaries describe ‘ecstatic’ as “feeling or expressing overwhelming happiness or joyful excitement.” However, Ecstatic Dance is also about embracing ALL emotions and giving them a physical outlet. This process can be cleansing and calming, fostering a deep sense of connection to ourselves, each other, and the universe.

At Ecstatic Dance Berne, we follow three simple rules: no shoes, no booze, no chit-chat. We create a safe, substance-free space for everyone to express themselves through movement without words. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, belief, race, gender, or sexual orientation. It’s about getting exercise, freeing your mind and body, and fostering connections in vibrant health. Ultimately, you define what it means for you.

Ecstatic Dance Berne is a great space to belong. 

Doors open and music begins at 19:30 PM. At 20:00 PM there is a guided warm-up followed by free dance alone or together with others, in whatever way the music moves you. 

Entry fee is CHF 20 / 25 / or 30 depending on what you can afford.
